A small practice with seed sounds that opens the heart and connects us to oneness
Over the past weeks, I began taking small stones, carving Bīja Mantras into them, and charging them with their sound. Then I released them—sometimes into nature, sometimes into the urban landscape. This practice, however, has become a permanent part of my life, something I continue to do regularly.
It is a small gift. For you, for others, or simply for the space itself. In the end, we are all One.
Understanding Bīja Mantras and Their Energies
There are many Bīja Mantras, each carrying its own energy and intention. For this practice, I focused on Klim as an example—the mantra of attraction. Klim is the Kāmabīja, the seed of love and magnetic force. In Shakti traditions, it embodies the sweet energy of the Goddess, uniting hearts. In Bhakti traditions, it is Krishna’s Bīja—the cosmic pull calling every soul back home.
How Bīja Mantras Work: Seeds of Sound and Energy
Bīja Mantras, for context, are one-syllable seed sounds. They carry concentrated energy and vibration, each with a specific power. When chanted, whispered, or inscribed and energized, they act as a doorway for subtle transformation.
When I energetically charge the stones, I recite the respective Bīja at least 108 times. After that, I usually rub the stones with Abhisheka oil, a sacred oil traditionally used in the ritual cleansing and anointing of deities in Hindu practice. For some stones, I also apply energetized Homa ash from my own Yajna fire. Yajnas are sacred fire rituals performed to purify, transform, and offer energy into the world. This process turns each stone into a vessel carrying focused vibration, intention, and blessing.
Working with Klim, I feel it opening the heart, drawing in light, love, and harmony. It reminds me that the greatest magnetic force in the universe is Love itself.
Whisper it, sing it, feel it. Let these Bīja Stones, and the mantras they carry, draw you back into the Source, where all is One. This is not a one-time act—it is a living practice I continue to cultivate every day.
