Stress Headaches

In today’s fast-paced world, stress headaches have become all too familiar for many of us. This brief meditation offers a powerful yet gentle breathing technique to alleviate these tension-induced headaches. Centered around visualization and mindful breathing, this exercise encourages you to breathe “vertically” through an imaginary opening at the crown of your head, helping release tension and calm the mind. Listen to the guided audio version for free on Soundcloud and discover how a few focused minutes can ease both body and mind.

Let’s dive into this meditative journey and embrace a few moments of relaxation.

Quick Meditation for Stress Headache Relief: Whales and their blowholes

The technique

Breathe in and out through the nose gently, regularly and without any effort or pressure.

During this process, however, we imagine releasing the breath through an imaginary opening at the top of the head, like whales breathing in and out through their blowholes. If you are familiar with Yoga and the Chakra system, you can also focus on Sahasrara Chakra, the Crown Chakra.

So breathe in and out vertically through this imaginary valve for a while – for the start 5 up to 15 Minutes are enough – while sitting upright, stable and yet relaxed in your preferred meditation pose or simply in a chair.

With each exhalation, release some of the tension and let yourself sink slowly – deep into your breath …

May this exercise help and inspire you.
Thank you for your attention.

Take care and be blessed,
Hari Om Tat Sat.
